How to Apply Attar So It Lasts All Day

To make attar last all day, apply 2 to 3 dabs to clean, slightly moist skin on your wrists, neck and behind the ears, then let it dry without rubbing. Add one drop to your collar or cuff. A good oud attar like Ghilaf e Kaaba lasts 10 to 14 hours this way.
Step by step
- Start clean. Apply after a shower or wudu, when skin is slightly damp. Oil holds better on hydrated skin.
- Dab, don't rub. Touch the applicator to your wrist, neck and behind each ear. Rubbing your wrists together crushes the top notes.
- Use pulse points. Warm spots like the wrists, the neck and inside the elbows push the scent out through the day.
- Add one drop to fabric. Cotton and wool hold attar for hours. Test a hidden spot first on white or silk clothes.
- Leave it alone. Give it a few minutes to settle before you dress.

Layering attar with perfume

Mistakes that make attar fade
- Applying to dry, freshly soaped skin.
- Rubbing the wrists together.
- Storing the bottle in a hot car or sunny window.
